The weather here in St. Louis, is hot and humid. In other words, the usual for the summer. For those of you who don’t know the city is located at the where the Mississippi and Missouri rivers meet. It’s near the geographic center of the United States. Believe me the humidity makes it feel like a steam bath some days. When I was a child there was no such thing as ‘heat index’. The term wasn’t introduced to the general population until the 1980s. We just knew it was hot!
Right now the temperature here is 81° but it feels like 90°. We have a humidity level of 65%.
You want to wear light colored clothing. We all learned that dark colors absorb heat, so stick to the light pastels. Today’s paper is just that soft pastel colors. BTW, all of the paper started as red dots!
